Corruption of James

When we babysit James, expect a little spoiling while Mom and Dad are at Jill's wedding.

This is just Saturday morning....

We went to Great Harvest to get some cookies and bread. He was pointing to the other yummy baked goods in the display case.

Then to Redmond Town Square...

For a test ride on a Vespa courtesy of PinkaBella Cupcakes.

Okay the Vespa never had the stands up but he really liked it...

A Cupcake. He actually got a free "cake pop" cause he cried when we took him off the Vespa and the owner felt bad and said we can give him a free cake pop if we go upstairs to the store.

A Tattoo...

Then he got finger printed. OK, hand printed.

Some gambling. Okay spin the wheel where he won a sticker.

Some Dancing in the Street. OK, not dancing but listening well.

James and Po Po thought it was a fun 5 hours.

And now a little rest before the afternoon.

Grandparents Day

Sunday, September 11th was Grandparent's Day.

Scott went fishing with his Grandmother on Saturday and they caught some great fish.
James was a little afraid about getting too close to the fish.

Sunday, Ruth came down to spend time with Scott and Allison who came over for the weekend.

and with James.

Giving James some positive feedback while he pushes his car.

More Toys

James still likes Velda's prior finds.

Allison and Velda went shopping and found a lawn mower for James that he can keep here in Redmond. He loves the one he has at home.

He loves walking back and forth on the lawn. Our lawn is not the best since most of the lawn is not level. He falls over but he gets right up and continues mowing.

He checked out the engine.

He was inspecting the grass to see how his cutting was doing.

Velda found a car he can push or ride on. It has all the car sounds with it. He mastered the knobs very quickly. It's so cute to see the pure joy in his face.

He checked out all the compartments.

In detail.

The bad thing is the finds are much more fun than Po Po and Grandpa.
He jumps right out of our laps if he sees a toy he wants to play with.

Fruit Thief Part II

James, the fruit thief hit again. I think he had assistance.

In the harvesting of the fruit.

It looks like he got quite a haul.

He was very happy to try out freshly picked organic raspberries and blueberries.
Great Grandma Ruth was here visiting and now can see how much he loves his fruit.

He ate and ate.

He opened wide to get all the berries in.

He got a little raspberry juice on his cheek.

It looks like the fruit thief got his fill. Doesn't he look like he overate and looks a little sluggish?

Yakima High School Friends

Velda had some of her friends (Becky, Mary, and Marilyn) from high school over for lunch. They recently celebrated their 40 year high school reunion but Mary and Becky missed it.

They reminisced.

And had plenty of laughs.

Had to have a walk through the gardens. Turns out 3 out of the 4 girls are avid gardeners. Velda sent them home with some of Velda's favorites from her yard and Becky's.

Young Man On A Mission

We had not seen James in two weeks. The last time we saw him, he was very unsteady with his walking. Now he clearly lets you know he doesn't want your help.

And it is off to the races...

Dad and James going "Malling".

Let's check out the ATM.

It will be running next.
