James is over with Grandpa and Po Po for three days when Allison is in Portland and Scott is busy working.

James was exposed to foods from all over the world.

Babysitting

Velda and I babysat James last weekend. Scott and Allison went to a benefit. We picked James up in Seattle. Then we went to art exhibit in a gallery in Kirkland. The exhibit featured the art of Steve Edwards who is a gardening buddy of Velda's.

James was not wanting to see the art but had fun going up and down the streets of Kirkland with Grandpa.

He went to bed fine however... The little bugger was up at 2 AM and again at 4:30 and grandma taped him going around and around and around...

The next picture James is checking out the depth perception if he wants to go down the step and giving a sign he could be ready to go back to sleep.

2011 Mother's Day

Velda and I went to Allison's on Mother's Day.

It turned out to be a beautiful day.

The following are a series of pictures and videos taken last Saturday at the cabin. Allison, Scott, Velda, James and I were there to spread some chips. Allison asked Velda what she wanted to do on Mother's Day and Velda's reply was, "Put down wood chips".

There were a number of firsts - James had his first pizza.

And yes we were watching him with the knife.

James had his first brownie for dessert. He loved them all!!!

He was also one busy little guy.

In the end, we worked hard, ate well, had a lot of fun, and the weeds should be much less with the new wood chips on.

We got to spend a couple of days with James last week while Allison ran errands.

This picture is of James and his new friend Scout in the back of the wagon. He loves being outside and really loves being pulled in the wagon. If you stop, he grunts and leans forward like to get going.

Velda calls this picture 'I am not sure I like the smell of cilantro'. She picked some cilantro and he made a real funny face.

This video clip is of James eating and paling with kitchen utensils.

This video is of James in the tub playing with kitchen utensils. He went around and around the tub playing like he was painting and talking. He kept us entertained for a long time.

This video lip is of James playing with measuring cups.

Velda calls this video clip 'heck la' which means come and eat. I call it little drummer boy.

Even though James was under the weather, he kept his grandparents entertained.
